MMS Series Manual Motor Starters

Description

The Advance Controls’ MMS Series Manual Motor Starters are a compact manual motor controller that provides protection to either an individual motor or a group installation. The MMS Series are UL Listed for use as a Manual Motor Controller under UL 508 and meets IEC Standards for export applications. Each MMS unit incorporates an adjustable, ambient compensated, Class 10 Thermal Overload with single phase protection, instantaneous trip for short circuit protection and manual “START/STOP-RESET” pushbuttons.

Applications

Advance Controls’ MMS Series Manual Motor Starters are designed to directly start and stop an electric motor. The MMS Series can be used for a wide variety of applications including: pumps, conveyors, fans, packaging machinery, textile, food processors, drill presses, saws, etc.

MMS Series Starters provide needed protection for a single motor. Additionally, MMS Series Starters can be used in Group Installations which allow several motor controllers to be used with one branch circuit protection device. Under the National Electrical Code article 430-53, two or more motors or other loads may be connected to the same branch circuit if each load is protected either by a fuse or circuit breaker. Use of the MMS Series Starters fulfills the need for individual circuit protection as outlined under the National Electrical Code.
