| Safety Switches Slotted Lever Operated - Non Metallic Housing |
| The Advance Controls Slotted Lever Safety Switch utilizes a rotating slotted lever to provide a positive means of turning "Off" the control power if an access panel, door, gate, guard, etc., is opened. The slotted lever design uses the door opening force to rotate the safety switch operating shaft, minimizing door - switch alignment problems. When the enclosure door is opened, a follower (not furnished) attached to the door slides down the switch lever arm slot, rotating the lever arm to the “Open” position. When the lever rotates past the "Open" point the normally closed contact in the safety circuit is forced open, turning "Off" the machine's control power. Since the safety switch contacts are closed only when the lever is in the “Closed” position, the machine cannot be started until the protection is re-established. The switch arm rotating point does not have to match the hinge point of the door. This allows easy installation of the switch assembly. The head of the switch can also rotate in 4 x 90 degree steps allowing input in any of 4 different positions, providing for a variety of different mounting configurations. | ![]() |
